ANIMALS CAN BE...

Depending on their BACKBONE they can be:


  • Vertebrates: with backbone. 5 types: mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish.

  • Invertebrates: with out backbone. 2 types: mollusks and arthropods.

Depending on what they EAT they can be:

  • Herbivores: they only eat plants.

  • Carnivores: they only eat meat or other animals.

  • Omnivores: they eat plants and meat.
