There are many ways to protect the enviroment and ecosystems. Human activity has a big impact on ecosystems. We must Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Do you remember the 3R's?

Living and non-living things

Living things are born, grow, reproduce and die. For instance: humans, animals and plants.

Non-living things do not grow, breath, move, need energy, reproduce. For example: a book, a stone or a building.
They can be natural (a river) or man-made (a chair).
